  • Must have their registered address within the Liverpool City Region

  • Training programme funded by St Helens Chamber, ESF and YEI. 35 hours per week for 26 weeks.

  • Training allowance tracked to national minimum wage

 

Operations Team

 

You will be joining a team headed by the company operations manager and will be supported by senior manufacturing operatives and product engineers.

 

Role

The core mission of the Manufacturing Operative for Simulator Fabrication in the ILM post is to learn the processes for and support the manufacturing of all Inovus simulation products. The role will include learning about and performing production level 3D printing processes including post processing of printed parts. The successful applicant will be trained to assemble mechanical and electronic elements of the company’s flagship product LapAR. The role will also involve assembly and labeling of product parts, maintaining stock levels and taking an active role in the goods in and goods out procedures. A senior Manufacturing Operative and the company’s Operations Manager will support the Role.

The company is seeking a highly motivated manufacturing operative. The role is a fully funded, 6 month training programme.

Key Competencies:

  • Good manual dexterity

  • Able to follow instructions and learn new techniques and processes

  • Willing to learn and have an interest in learning multiple manufacturing techniques

  • Have an interest in and ability to work with electronics and computer parts

  • Good levels of stamina will be required in this role, as such the candidate must be able to perform strenuous activity for prolonged periods

  • Able to work in a team

  • Able to structure their working day to gain maximum efficiency (once fully trained)

  • Can work with autonomy (once fully trained and competent in processes)

  • Can work to prescribed minimum quality standards

  • The candidate must provide proof of address from within the Liverpool City region

  • Proof of age will be required for Government funding compliance (aged up to 29yrs)

  • Proof of NEET status will be required by a letter from the DWP (please contact us to support you in this process)
