The Inovus Medical Ectopic Pregnancy Model is a low cost, single use model designed to allow trainee OBGYN surgeons to work through the critical steps in salpingostomy. The highly realistic model allows incision of the fallopian tube, identification, mobilisation and removal of the embryo and suturing of the fallopian tube. This model can also be used for teaching and training the technique of salpingectomy with end to end anastomoses of the dissected fallopian tube. The synthetic tissues from which the model is constructed offer close to life tissue handling and real time haptic feedback as experienced in theatre.


The Ectopic Pregnancy Model has been developed by the Inovus Medical design team alongside our in-house clinicians in order to offer the most real to life and cost effective ectopic pregnancy model on the market. With prices from as little as £18 per model, and with the ability to perform two salpingostomies per model, OBGYN trainees can now perform six times as many simulated salpingostomies for the same price as other models on the market. The Inovus Medical Ectopic Pregnancy Model has also been designed to be compatible with all existing laparoscopic ‘box trainers’.

Retaining Option
  • The Inovus Medical Ectopic Pregnancy Model can be held in place with the Inovus suturing base or the soft tissue retaining clips available on the Inovus store and on the drop-down menu for this product. We strongly recommend buying one of these retaining options for optimal performance of the model.
